Our sweet friend Ally made Tess this "Welcome Tess" cake. It was so yummy! I bet it is the first cake Tess has ever had in her honor! Just one in a line of many firsts that will be headed her way. So far, we have all been slowly adjusting to our new family. The communication thing is a bit challenging because it's hard to say "no" and then not be able to explain why. She is having some trouble with all the guidelines and restrictions and is becoming a professional pouter!! As her language improves and we can explain things...it should get easier for her (and us). I'll keep you posted.
