HIV adoption

WOW! I just read an article about the rise in adoptions of HIV kids from Ethiopia. When we were there, we knew we were going to a non-HIV orphanage.  There are orphanages such as AHOPE that have only AIDS/HIV kids. The families in the article are my heros.
I get compliments and praise for our adoption of Tess all the time, but honestly I do not feel worthy...  for what are we being praised??  for being blessed with a beautiful, healthy, smart sweet little  girl??  I'm the one that is lucky and blessed to get to kiss her goodnight!  We are the ones who get to laugh at her funny words, answer her curious questions and watch as she looks at the new world with complete amazement!  It's so great and such an amazing journey to be on.  I kept thinking while reading the article  that these families know how very sick these kids are.  And yet, they have signed on in spite of looking at a long lifetime of treatment and doctors, people judging, fear and worry about their beautiful kids...and yet they said yes...they are the ones who deserve praise and thanks from all of us for giving these sweet innocent children a chance to have a life.
